|This activity was originally requested at a working session of the EU-China Regulatory Dialogue in 2004. The two-day seminar brought together Chinese conformity assessment officials, exporters, as well as representatives from the European Commission and the Toy Industry Association of Europe. The ultimate aim of the seminar was to increase conformity of toys manufacturing to the EU safety requirements and principles of business conduct as described by the International Council of Toys Industries. A total of 320 participants attended the seminar. Key outputs included the development of a seminar booklet, including speakers’ PowerPoint presentations.
