Report - Building Competition Policy in China: An EU Approach - April 2005

China is currently in the process of reviewing the Anti-Monopoly Law,聽planned to be passed in 2006, to complement its existing set of laws and regulations governing competition. The EU, with several decades of experience in legislating and enforcing competition policy and law, has been providing technical assistance to the PRC Ministry of Commerce in the drafting of its new law.

"Building Competition Policy in China: An EU Approach", a tailored report that addresses specific questions raised by Chinese drafting authorities, was developed by a team of European experts with extensive experience in competition policy. The team members are: Alberto Pera, former Secretary-General of the Italian Competition Authority, and Kurt Stockmann, former Vice-President of the German Bundeskartellamt.
